The members include companies from Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Luxemburg and Switzerland. The purpose of the cooperative is to make collective, direct purchases from selected suppliers. This makes it possible to achieve strong negotiating positions.
The members of IHG represent great sales potential. We offer potential manufacturers the opportunity to enter a pan-European market of more than 3,000 retail outlets with a combined turnover of more than 5 billion euro – and rising.
IHG promotes itself in Europe with unique and exemplary cooperation in a world without borders. As a result of the positive development over the last 20 years, the Intercoop House & Garden Cooperative (IHG), a cooperative under Swiss law, was founded in CH-3293 Dotzigen, Switzerland on 1 January 2009.
Responsibility for the new IHG cooperative rests with the Chairman, Mr Lukas Rosshart and the CEO (and Vice-Chairman), Mr Heinz W?lti, supported by the General Secretary, Mr Juan Krapf.
After the foundation of the IHG cooperative, framework contracts were introduced. Around 80 framework contracts have been signed with selected manufacturers to date. Only top manufacturers are privileged to become IHG suppliers with a framework contract. The aim is to sign no more than 150 framework contracts.
The individual members order items directly from the respective manufacturer according to their needs.
