Tasks

• By the development of Chinese green manufacturing system, as well as the long term electricity purchasing agreement in line with BMW sustainable strategy. To deep dive on the spot marketing regulation and emission policy by government and BMW AG, build up a sustainable communication and cooperation strategy with Chinese government and BMW group.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpretation with SBTI, RE100 requirements on green electricity topic; interpretation with green electricity market operation mechanism, pricing, laws and regulations, policies and processes;
• Be responsible for conducting investigation of energy market, developing green electricity purchasing strategy to optimize cost as well as ensuring sustainable power supply continuously in according to BMW/BBA sustainability strategy
• Lead BBA PPA long term contract from technical point of view including identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers. Execute daily green electricity transactions with biz department to ensure fulfil business and government requirements. Regular monitor and analyze transaction risk and leading on solutions
• Be responsible for collecting ,analyzing, predicting and managing plants electricity trend with purchased green electricity. Provide the reasonable electricity data to government and external electricity agency
• Regular exchange and communicate with different level of government regarding regulations changes, improvement opportunities, have an electricity and knowledge to influence the standards changes
• Regular exchange with BMW counterpart regarding green energy strategy and process updates
• Coordinate different counterparts to make sure the green electricity certificates to fulfil BBA 100% green electricity target achievements
• Conduct GHG investigation according to government regulation, conduct GHG inventory report based on timeline. Support CO2 validation process according to project nature and BMW requirements
• Develop and establish BBA biodiversity concept and ensure implementation in plants according to BMW strategy and requirements. Conduct the related theme such as trainings to promote the associates mindset on the biodiversity
• Organize and support the awareness/ events/activities to promote awareness regarding on green electricity usage, CO2 reduction requirements
• Manage documentation accordingly. other daily business assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor / master degree in environmental engineering, electricity engineering, economics, finance is preferred; electricity purchasing experience is advanced; Fornvironmental qualification in accordance with ISO 14001, ISO 14064,
• MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Knowledge of International/national regulations regarding electricity market trading rules, renewable energy sources, spot marketing mechanism, low carbon emission strategy
• Renewable energy project management or technologies; CO2 reduction projects management
• Competency of related certification of environment, electricity trading, spot market trading, greenhouse gas inventory
• Interpersonal and strong communication skills
• English language: verbal, written & understanding, German is plus
• Experience in energy/environment/management area, be familiar with carbon inventory control 1-3 Years
• Related work experience on company and focus on predicting electricity curve or electricity operation or spot market trading 4-6 Years
