Job Accountabilities:
Build seasonal SKU-level assortment financial and illustrative plans for a retail concept that ties to the business plans and targets. Lead period analysis, including but not limited to style-level sell through to influence current and future seasons.
? Pre-season
? Build/refine a style-level plan to color based on retail strategies and opportunities; ensure plan reconciles with topline financial plan developed by the Business Planner
? Develop style plans aligned with power item / story placement
? Align plan with input and collaboration from key stakeholders including Merchandising, Business Team
? Partner with supply team to provide insights and guidance on supply chain forecast and drop process
? Drive Key Assortment Planning ensuring depth and breadth in the most critical styles
? Develop Style to color buy plans for Key Retail Moments and align with key stakeholders Merchandising, Business Team
? In-season
? Weekly recap and analyze product performance vs. plan and LY
? Recommend key actions to the Platform/Site Merchandising/Allocation team to optimize slow moving Styles and maximize opportunity on top sellers
? Post-season
? Recap the performance of the assortment including sell-through, color performance, and SKU productivity
? Analyze and report key item contribution
? Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders Merchandising for future season planning
? Recap performance of key retail moments to provide insights for future planning
Job Qualifications:
? Ability to translate big data into readable, easy to understand summarized tables
? Be able to present information in a concise manner yet can clearly speak to underlying details
? Good skill sets with Excel
? Buying, Planning, Assortment Planning experience with other apparel / footwear in Digital preferred
? Comprehensive understanding of retail math
? Ability to create reports, style-level sales plans, track promotional calendar/events and pre-meeting prep
? Strong and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence others
? Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred
? Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business
? Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.
? Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred
? Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions
? Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business
