The opportunity
Goodyear is currently looking for an OE Construction Engineer in our Product Development Department in APAC. This role will report to the Technical Project Manager Strategic OE Projects. Your main responsibilities as OE Construction Engineer will be:
? Develop and release OE tires as per target letter.
? Generation technical and manufacturing feasibility, the OE tire development with OEM interaction, the approval, and the final validation of the product.
? Define appropriate technical strategy definition and its deployment during project execution.
The job requires the usage of experimental and predictive approaches.
? Strong interaction with with other teams inside and outside global technology (plant and regional NPI, GCPP, EPL, Supply chain etc).
To join our team you will need:
Education:
The candidate must have successfully completed master's degree in mechanical engineering or physics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
? 0-5 years of experience, ideally in automotive industry will be considered as an asset.
? Experience in project management is a plus.
? Tire design experience in multiple product areas
? Knowledge in Tire & Mold development processes
? Knowledge in tire manufacturing process
Languages:
? Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must.
? Fluency in other language(s) is an asset.
IT, Soft Skills & others:
? Able to work in cross functional and multi-cultural teams across the regions.
? Strong knowledge of our Product Development Processes and Procedures
? Strong knowledge in Standards and Regulations affecting tires
? Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
? Background in vehicle dynamics is a plus
? Experience with Finite Element Modeling is an asset.
? Analytical skills, knowledge in statical tools
