1. Prepare and review discipline design documents, including but not limited to, design basis, specifications, calculations, reports, general arrangement plans, lists.
2. Provide technical support in procurement of structural materials when required.
3. Review key design documents, 3D models, MTO, RFQ document, perform technical bid evaluation.
4. Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to clients and upper management and ensure all structures for the projects designed will be fully functional as intended, meet project requirements, cost effective.
5. Participate and contribute to technical review sessions e.g. HAZID, 3D models, constructability, etc.
6. Monitor and resolve all structural engineering issues surfaced at jobsites.
7. Coordinate design efforts with team, other disciplines, owner/agents, and suppliers.
8. Develop design standards; maintain a discipline design lesson learnt register.
9. May participate in activities with construction personnel concerning constructability issues as related to operational requirements, field conditions, and sequencing/scheduling of construction activities.
10. Participate in and fosters a work environment based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
11. Responsible for completing other tasks assigned by lead engineer.
