Job Description
CEA is a fast-growing company in an exciting and dynamic industry. The Project Manager, Energy Storage must be prepared to continuously learn and receive training with the purpose of developing a deep expertise in the energy storage industries. The Project Manager, Energy Storage position is focused on creating high quality technical content, writing in-depth technical reports for the developments of the energy storage industries and assist in editing and improving the project reports and content that are delivered to CEA’s clients. The Project Manager, Energy Storage will support CEA’s internal teams and clients and will gain the insights necessary to help them make the right decisions. This means working closely with CEA’s field engineers to identify new developments in the energy storage manufacturing processes, with CEA’s marketing and sales team to educate and inform clients, and with CEA’s Business Intelligence team to develop and adopt the necessary tools to efficiently capture and report content and data.
Major Responsibilities
Energy Storage Quality Assurance (QA) and other services
?
From time to time execute QA projects (FAs, FATs etc. of battery cell, module, racking and container factories) to improve and acquire skills and propose improvements in CEA’s ESS QA services.
?
Work with Project Operations and Account Management teams to implement improvements of the QA checklists, reports and other deliverables.
?
Participate in and execute RFP/RFQ projects, TDD (technical due diligence) of suppliers and new technologies and any special storage projects, as requested by the Director.
Team leadership
?
Lead the storage team of the Technology & Quality Department of CEA.
?
Develop existing and new members of the storage team according to CEA’s needs as well as mission, purpose and values.
?
Identify gaps, hire, and expand the team as requested by the Director.
?
Report timely and accurately on all metrics and issues.

Technical content creation
?
Actively participate in the creation of cutting-edge technical content, such as ESS Supplier Market Intelligence Program reports, online posts, presentations, white papers etc.
?
Educate CEA’s clients and assist them to take the best decisions and promote CEA’s technical branding.
?
Collect, process and organize technical market intelligence data from the energy storage sector for business or internal applications.
?
Provide technical and market insights for clients or internal applications.
?
Support the development of technical content for CEA’s marketing material, create case studies based on CEA’s projects.
Supply Chain Management (SCM) and other team support
?
Support SCM team on regular meetings with clients (business reviews), by creating technical contents and provide technical and business insights and intelligence to client’s specific requests.
?
Provide necessary technical consulting to CEA’s SCM and commercial team (including sales and account managers) to educate and train the team to better promote CEA’s services to clients. This may include assisting in the development of new market intelligence services for internal use and/or as client services.
?
Assist in developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with companies throughout the energy storage value chain, especially major and emerging lithium-ion battery manufacturers.
?
Collaborate closely with CEA’s broader energy storage team and application engineers of other departments and provide support when requested.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements
1.
Highly proficient English speaker with an excellent writing ability.
2.
Native or Excellent Mandarin speaking skills.
3.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an engineering, physics, or science related field.
4.
Working experience in the energy storage manufacturing 10 year+ industry.
5.
Broad understanding of the China energy storage market, including familiarity with major players, technologies, incentives/market drivers and installations.
6.
High level of proficiency in Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
7.
Good communication ability and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements
1.
English language university education, at least at the post-graduate level.
2.
Quality control experience in a manufacturing industry.
3.
Familiarization with the global storage industries and manufacturing equipment.
