? Drive the global color matching organization changes in AP to support ambitious growth targets
? Build and lead a high-performance team to support Global, Regional and Local customer needs
? Grow the team, upskill color managers and colorists, transform and digitalize the processes
? Improve quality and productivity of color matching
? Drive Regional color strategy and global activities in the region
? Collaborate with SAM team to meet the expectation of the complexity and dynamics of new Chinese OEMs, which are of global relevance
? Collaborate with local sales & CTS team to meet the customer criteria of local refinish brands and CTS
? Ensure color market support with local technical sales teams
? Support collection of color information via SAM, ECO colleagues (BSC and Campus), TSS, Field check activities
? Act as the key contact for color-related business needs in the region, and as the AP liaison to the global team
? Ensure safety operations according to RC requirements
? Leads a team of 20 to 30 members (colorists, color matchers, team leaders), including 1 to 5 direct reports (JG4&5), to be defined based on the workload (on-going discussion with management team)
? Oversees color matching activities in Jiangmen lab and supports Direct Importers and country organizations to fully leverage crowd-sourced color formulations
? Drive color matching related activities :
- organize color matching work for Premium, CTS and VfM brands
- conduct color development projects (new spectro, color tool, tinter…)
? Coordinates the interfaces of his team with other refinish labs in A/P, EMEA and NA, local and regional marketing teams, local process management teams.
? Observes customer needs, market trends as well as competitor activities, and propose new ideas
? Coordinates activities priorities with local and regional marketing and global color and technology teams
? Drives color matching activities, and provide support and training to team members
? Analyzes regional needs regarding color, makes proposals for new tinters
? Support collecting color information by any possible contact (internal, external, internet…)
? Produces quality and productivity KPIs, set targets to the team in coordination with Global Color Team
? Coordinates the analysis and answers to customer color request and complaints (local and regional).
? Implements color matching procedures in line with BASF corporate guidelines (incl. RC and Quality guidelines).
? As a member of the global GLOSAR community, ensures the local implementation of Global quality standard in the color team
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
? Education: Bachelor or Master degree plus strong color experience
? WorkingExperience: 10-15y
? Technical & Professional Knowledge: strong leadership, color formulation, color science, work in international team
